CHECKED IN: PAN PACIFIC WHISTLER VILLAGE

Hey travel bugs! We recently checked in to the Pan Pacific Hotel in Whistler Village, Canada. It was both of our first times exploring Whistler and we had an amazing time in the area as well as the hotel. On our way up to Whistler from Vancouver, we made a stop at Garibaldi Lake to embark on a 8 hour hike. Needless to say, we were exhausted by the time we finished! It was 6PM and we had been hiking down the mountain past sunset in the dark and cold.. 38,000 steps later, all we could think about was arriving at our hotel and crashing immediately! Luckily for us, Whistler is only 25 minutes away from Garibaldi Lake (or 2 hours from Vancouver) and check-in at and Pan Pacific Whistler Village was a breeze. Read on to see how our stay here went!

ROOM

We stayed in the upper floor bedroom suite which came with a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, a private balcony overlooking the mountains, and a fireplace (yay!). The bed was in a separate room which could be closed off, great if you are a family or group of 3-4. The lounge/living room area was very spacious with a couch, ottoman, and another body-length couch for you to get your Instagram-worthy shots with the gorgeous view outside the windows. Every room comes with free WiFi so you can share the beautiful views with friends and family in real-time. There is a TV in both the living room and the bedroom… but who really has time to watch TV when you’re in such an amazing place like Whistler?!

LOCATION

As the name states, the Pan Pacific Whistler Village is situated in the main village (they also have a property beside the mountains – Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside) which was convenient and near the action, yet still gave you the feeling that you were tucked away in private. Straight in front of the hotel entrance are a set of stairs which takes you down into the village. The cherry on top is that this is where the Whistler Village and Village North meet, so you really are right in the centre! Directly downstairs is a Shoppers Drug Mart for your essential needs and a handful of restaurants to pick from. A few more steps and you can shop, eat, drink, and have as much ice cream as you desire! Since we were here near the holidays, at nightfall all the walkways and trees were lit up with Christmas lights which was splendid to see. If you are here to hit the slopes like the other 2.4 million ski & snowboard tourists that Whistler sees each year, the Blackcomb Mountain gondola lift is a mere 5 minute walk away (350 metres).

VIEW

Our one bedroom upper floor suite offers views of the Whistler Valley and Whistler Village. Different rooms have different views (check them out here) but rest assured they are all equally stunning, giving you a blast of fresh mountain air every time you step out upon your private balcony.
