Fujifilm X-T2 in the Gold Coast

GOLD COAST

Hey guys! I hope you guys enjoyed the last post where I showed you the cute little koalas and kangaroos at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary! If you guys haven’t seen the previous post yet, what are you waiting for?! Go see that now! Go ahead…click HERE… I’ll wait… WELP you’re taking too long I’m going to go ahead without you.

So Gold Coast is a coastal city in Queensland, Australia. It’s about an hour away from Brisbane and from our short time spent here, I must say that it’s really hot and sunny. But you guys probably knew that from a name like Gold Coast. For today’s post I’m going to show you the main core of the Gold Coast called Surfers Paradise! It’s a party town, there were lots of drunk students partying everywhere! The beach, heat and coastal skyline sorta reminds me of Miami, on that note let’s get started.

Surfers Paradise

Welcome to Surfers Paradise

You have a tram (street car) only going straight both ways in and out of the city. There are restaurants and shops along the strip.

Walking along the coast you get to see the Gold Coast Skyline, it’s so peaceful taking a stroll here.

See the skyscraper over there? It’s called the “Q1”  and it is the tallest skyscraper in the southern hemisphere! If you guys are ever in the area go check out the observation deck it has an amazing view of the city. Sadly no pictures up were taken up there. It was too dark for the camera to handle.

Golden Hour

Surfers Paradise coast is on the east side so getting shots of the sunset was out of the question. During golden hour however, the sky lit up like a madman! I’ve witness golden hour a number of times, but I’ve never saw it like this before. The sky was purple and pink! I took out the camera and took as many photographs as I could.

Whether it is scenic or not, pink/purple skies will make the scene tremendously better! So keep shooting!

The clouds were so heavenly during this hour it could make a residential area look magnificent!

Here is Hillorie walking along the beach, thinking if she should have another beer or not! What an alcoholic!

The purple/pink sky just makes for an interesting portrait!

Last but not least…SUNSET SHOTS!

I know earlier I said that there are no sunset shots at Surfers Paradise but I have a few in Coolangatta, a suburb that is about a half hour drive from Surfers Paradise. It would be blasphemous not to have any sunset shots while in the Gold Coast!

The sun was bright coming down here! I just love how you can see streaks/beams cutting through in the centre, it looks divine .

A couple enjoying the view, how romantic!

3 surfers looking to catch one last wave before the sun settles. Sunsets and surfers make for a classic Gold Coast photo! This is one of my favourite

Well that is it for today! Hope you guys enjoyed these photos, as much as I did!
